FAQ:

How much does this cost?
This program is free to all Nightlife Students

Do I need to own a camera?
No. We are providing cameras, lenses and all gear required for the class. It is only used in class though and we have a limited supply, so in order for you to really learn and explore on your own, it is recommended that you get a camera at some time.

What camera should I buy?
Depends on your budget. We are using
Canon cameras in our class. We do suggest Canon to be the brand you buy, but Nikon also makes top quality cameras.

Our suggestion for
Canon is based on the fact that you will have access to additional lenses that will enhance your photography skills tremendously. These lenses will be available for you to use on your own cameras. They will NOT fit Nikon cameras.

Reccomendation:
Most of the
Canon DSLR Rebel series will do. If you would like to go with a professional camera, We suggest the Canon 50d or a Canon 7d which is what we are using in the classes. If you would like a consultation, we are more than happy to provide that for you, just give us a call.

We will NOT be bias about camera brands. If your student has a Nikon, Fuji, or Sony that they love, then we say bring it on! Not a problem. They all make great cameras.

Where are classes held?

Classes are mainly held at the Nightlife Center. There are some opportunities for you to do a class "On Location". Permission slips for each "on location" class will be provided as well as all of the information your parents will need. If you are under 18, you will need a permission form to go to "On Location" shoots.

What software will you learn to use?
Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Publisher, Bridge, and much much more.
